This system integrates the management of product and item information, providing functionality for systematically approving revision information. This ensures consistency and traceability of quality information, thereby enhancing Dorco's global competitiveness.

System Overview

A global quality information management system has been built to allow the verification and management of client product and item information within a single system, as well as the approval of revision information according to an approval hierarchy. This system has been developed for quality managers, general staff, approval managers, and administrators in multiple countries, including Vietnam, China, and Mexico.

Design Concept

Considering the characteristics of an internal system, the design is composed of a simple tone. This design is intuitive and easy to use, taking business intelligence (BI) into account.

Features

The system is designed to call data in the fastest and most efficient manner using asynchronous call methods and backend APIs. Key features include PDF download, printing, multi-file compression download, development download, and email notifications upon approval.

Technical Infrastructure

The system is configured in a virtual computing environment using AWS LightSail, providing a stable and scalable infrastructure. SMTP and IIS are utilized to operate mailing functions and the web server, respectively.

Project Scope

The scope of this project includes the following:

  1. Requirements Gathering: Detailed collection of client requirements to lay the foundation for system design.
  2. Storyboard Creation: Defining user flow and functional flow by creating a storyboard to design the overall structure of the system.
  3. Design: Conducting design considering user interface (UI) and user experience (UX).
  4. Publishing: Completing web publishing while adhering to web standards using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  5. Frontend/Backend Development: Developing backend logic and databases using PHP and MariaDB, and integrating them with the frontend.
  6. Unit and Third-Party Testing: Performing unit tests for each function and third-party testing to fix bugs and optimize performance.
  7. User Testing: Identifying and improving usability issues through testing with actual users.
  8. Release: Finalizing and releasing the system after completing all processes.

The key features of the system are as follows:

  • Input, Query, and Edit Quality-Related Information: Users can easily input, query, and edit quality-related information through a user-friendly interface.
  • Attach Various Types of Files: Users can attach various types of files necessary for quality management.
  • Approval Request and Automated Email Notifications: The system manages approval procedures in stages and automatically sends emails upon approval requests, enhancing work efficiency.
