Taesung Contech Co., Ltd. develops electric vehicle charging app(Android)

Portfolio Introduction

Taesung Contech is a leading company providing electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions for a sustainable future. Recently, we developed the Taesung Contech EV Charging App to maximize user convenience. This project involved converting an existing web-based solution into a mobile app that performs optimally on both Android and iOS platforms.

Project Overview

The Taesung Contech EV Charging App was created by packing an already completed web application into an Android app, resulting in a web app. This allows users to access all the features provided by the website in a mobile environment. Additionally, we have configured the app to be packable for iOS, enabling service provision to a broader user base. Within the app, we integrated Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver real-time push notifications to users.

Scope of Work

The main scope of our project included:

• Android Packing: Using the Cordova framework, we packed an existing responsive website into an Android app.
• FCM Push Development: We configured the app to send and receive push notifications using FCM.

Key Features

The primary features of the Taesung Contech EV Charging App include:

• Packing Using Cordova Framework: We utilized the Cordova framework to pack the previously developed responsive website into an Android app, ensuring that the web-based user interface is faithfully reproduced in the mobile environment.
• Push Notifications Using FCM: By integrating FCM, we enabled the app to send push notifications to users for announcements, updates, promotions, and more, facilitating real-time communication with users.

Technologies Used

The main technologies used in this project are:

• Cordova Framework: A framework that helps develop hybrid mobile applications that run on multiple platforms. This allowed us to use web technologies to develop the mobile app.
• FCM Push: Implemented using Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications to users, ensuring that important information or events are delivered to users in real-time.

Conclusion

The Taesung Contech EV Charging App was developed to provide existing web-based services in a mobile environment. This enables users to easily find EV charging stations, check charging status, and receive various benefits anytime, anywhere. Taesung Contech will continue to improve the app and strive to provide more convenient and useful services to our users.
