IT7 Portfolio Introduction

The project to build a product information system for Lock & Lock by IT7 is an exemplary case of developing a web-based system that efficiently manages and utilizes product information for Lock & Lock's sales. This system includes a CMS application that allows for quick responses in the sales field and real-time generation of catalogs to be delivered to customers.


Project Overview

Objective:
The purpose of this project was to integrate and manage various product information of Lock & Lock, creating an environment where immediate responses are possible in the sales field.

Scope of Work:
The project encompassed a comprehensive range of activities, including requirement gathering, storyboard creation, design, publishing, front-end and back-end development, unit testing, third-party testing, user testing, and release.


Key Features

SAP ERP Integration:
The system is integrated with Lock & Lock's existing SAP ERP system, maintaining data consistency and enabling real-time reflection of ERP data.

Daily Batch Job:
Implemented daily batch jobs to keep SAP data and data from the company's own mall and legacy systems up-to-date, ensuring the latest data is always available.

Global Scalability:
Designed with scalability in mind to prepare for future global market expansion.

Multi-Device Support:
Developed to function seamlessly on both PCs and tablets.

Real-Time Catalog Generation:
Through the CMS application, product information can be cataloged in real-time and quickly provided to customers.


Technology Used

Server Configuration:

  • Operated in a Windows server environment.

Back-End:

  • Implemented server-side logic using PHP.

Front-End:

  • Built the user interface using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, and supported the Android environment with the Cordova Framework.

Database:

  • Managed data using MariaDB.

Cloud Environment:

  • Utilized AWS EC2, S3, and RDS to build the system in a cloud environment, ensuring scalability and stability.

Work Process

Requirement Gathering:
At the project's inception, we thoroughly collected and analyzed customer requirements to establish clear goals and scope.

Storyboard Creation:
Created detailed storyboards to optimize user experience.

Design and Publishing:
Applied intuitive design for easy user access and published it to the web environment.

Front-End/Back-End Development:
Simultaneously developed the front-end and back-end to implement the system's overall functionality.

Testing:
Verified system stability and usability through unit testing, third-party testing, and user testing.

Release:
Deployed the system to the production environment through the final release.


Project Achievements

This project has significantly enhanced the efficiency of product information management for Lock & Lock and drastically improved the responsiveness in the sales field. Additionally, the real-time updating catalog feature has increased customer satisfaction, and the scalable design ensures readiness for global expansion.
