Establishment of a special product sourcing system for Lock & Lock's Chinese subsidiary

Lock & Lock Co., Ltd. enhanced its competitiveness in the Chinese market by establishing a product information system for the smooth management and practical use of local planned products required by its Chinese subsidiary. This project was carried out to support the smooth planning and special sale sourcing of products within China, and IT7 was responsible for the entire system construction.

Scope of Work

1. Requirement Collection: In the initial phase of the project, we thoroughly analyzed the client's requirements and clearly defined the necessary features and objectives. This step ensured clarity in the project's direction and goals.
2. Storyboard Creation: Based on the collected requirements, we designed the overall flow and user experience of the system. This step provided the fundamental framework for system development and facilitated smooth communication with the client.
3. Design: We designed a user-friendly interface to ensure that users can easily access and use the system. UI/UX design was implemented to optimize the user experience.
4. Publishing: Based on the designed layout, we developed the actual web pages using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery, creating an interactive and responsive web page.
5. Front-End/Back-End Development: We carried out front-end and back-end development simultaneously to ensure that each component of the system operates smoothly. PHP and MariaDB were used to build a stable back-end system.
6. Unit Testing and Third-Party Testing: We conducted unit tests for each function to correct initial bugs and enhanced the system's completeness through third-party testing by external professional companies.
7. User Testing: Actual users tested the system to improve the user experience, and any issues discovered before the final release were resolved.
8. Release: After completing all tests, we released the system for use by the client.

Key Features

• Stand-Alone System: The system was designed and developed with a focus on data management. This approach allows the system to operate independently without external network connections.
• Multilingual Support: To ensure smooth use in the Chinese market, the system supports multilingual input by using the UTF8mb4 dataset. This feature ensures expandability to various languages beyond Chinese.

Technologies Used

1. Server Configuration: Windows Server and IIS were used to establish a stable server environment, providing high security and performance.
2. Back-End Development: PHP was used to build a powerful and flexible back-end system. PHP's various features and libraries enable efficient development.
3. Database: MariaDB was utilized for stable data storage and management. MariaDB offers high performance and security, making it suitable for handling large amounts of data.
4. Front-End Development: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery were used to develop a user-friendly and responsive web interface. Utilizing the latest web technologies provides an optimal user experience across various devices.

Project Outcome

Through this project, Lock & Lock Co., Ltd.'s Chinese subsidiary could establish a robust system for the efficient management of local planned products and special sale sourcing. The support for multilingual input and the stand-alone operation enhanced their competitiveness in the Chinese market and significantly improved the convenience for on-site users.
